Chemical Cleaning
SureStream Flow Assurance Services can draw on over 30 years of Halliburton operational experience in pipeline cleaning using a broad range of proprietary & specialised chemicals and cleaning techniques that include:
Paraffin & Asphaltene Solvents (SureSV)
The SureSV range of products is specifically used in the removal of problematic paraffin wax & viscous organics from pipeline systems.
Surfactants and Dispersants (SureSF)
The SureSF group of specialist chemicals are used in hydrocarbon removal/De-Oiling operations.
Acid Treatments
Our broad range of Inhibited Acid Treatments are designed for the removal of problematic scales in pipeline systems.
Debris Pick-up Gels
The SureGL range of linear and cross-linked gel products can be tailor made to efficiently carry large volumes of debris over long distances.
Certain circumstances may dictate that gels are used instead of mechanical pigs, for example, in some multi-diameter systems where mechanical pigging may not be possible.
Mechanical Cleaning
A variety of mechanical techniques including high pressure jetting, milling and pigging tools are available to assist in the removal of the most stubborn deposits encountered in today's pipelines and flowlines.
Thermal Cleaning
Wax deposits can be removed using traditional thermal, hot oiling and the use of novel exothermic treatments.
Exothermic Treatments (SureThermTM)
The Halliburton SureThermTM treatment, is designed to generate heat within a pipeline to melt and aid in the removal of paraffin wax deposits.
Blockage Remediation
A number of intervention techniques are available to remediate partial or full blockages in delivery systems. These techniques can provide a pinpoint placement of effective treatments for those pipelines and flowlines which have become blocked through wax, scale, or other debris build up. Solutions are tailor made for each application and take into consideration the system configuration & access, blockage location, type and quantity of debris, and operational & HSE factors.
Combined Cleaning Programmes
Where minimal system upset is dictated and a combination of cleaning technologies is required, SureStream® can design a single cleaning train utilising for example, a combination of mechanical cleaning pigs and chemical cleaning parcels. These specialised chemical parcels may include surfactants, solvents and gels. Halliburton's gel experience is extensive, offering an array of hydrocarbon and aqeous systems to provide isolation, separation, cleaning and or debris transportation support to pipeline and flowline clean up programmes.
